WAO are reviewing maternity services as part of the Acute Hospital Portfolio project, which is centrally managed by the Healthcare Commission. The AHP work on maternity will provide detailed benchmarking comparisons between Trusts in England and Wales. It includes a survey of the experiences of new mothers. The WAO work is being co-ordinated with HIW's work on maternity services so that Trusts received feedback on clinical governance, quality of care and use of resources in relation to maternity services. |
