By definition, unscheduled health and social care is unforeseen and as a result, the need for a person to seek help may arise at any time of the day. It follows, therefore, that unscheduled care services must be accessible ‘in hours’ and ‘out of hours’. The module will cover GP out-of-hours services, out-of-hours services for vulnerable adults and will be informed on mental health services by the WAO’s ongoing review of Adult Mental Health. The module will consider whether out of hours services are contributing effectively to the system of unscheduled care. |
