View planned inspection, regulation and audit activity for health and social care services, and reports of reviews undertaken.
The Wales Health and Social Care Concordat is a voluntary agreement that builds on the collaboration which already exists between the inspecting, regulating and auditing bodies in Wales. It provides very clear opportunities for these bodies to continue to work together in a positive way to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their services, and to remove any unnecessary burdens associated with visits, collection of data and follow up.
The original Concordat membership comprised full and associate signatories which differed only in the role of the organisations in terms of audit, inspection and regulation. The Concordat committed signatories to develop and implement approaches and practices in response to the Concordat objectives.
The Concordat has evolved since its launch in 2005 and was reviewed in 2009/10, which led to the creation of the present Forum and a change in membership arrangements so that all participating organisations were all on an equal footing. By this time the membership had also expanded to include service improvement and development organisations.
